A ‘New’ Estate
Wilmar Residences will be located on the West Side. Historically, the Wilmar Residence has been one of the grandest estate homes in Vancouver. The home was built in Tudor Revival architecture for the director of the PGER (Pacific Great Eastern Railway), Willard Kitchen.
The original residence was home to several generations of the Willard family, with the last family member residing there until 2006. Since then, the home has remained largely intact, and is listed on the Vancouver Heritage Register.
The new Wilmar Residences will convert the existing structure into a large duplex, and five smaller infill homes will be erected on the property, giving the illusion of a grand estate surrounded by smaller cottages. In keeping with the original architecture, much of the styling, landscaping and actual plant material will be repurposed for this new development.

About the Developers
Coromandel Properties is a developer with a strong presence in both residential and commercial properties in Vancouver. While advanced technology is a staples of their developments, they are also known for being in tune with how their developments will work in each unique environment.
Stuart Howard Architects will be responsible for the redesign of the original estate home. The firm has a special focus on heritage restorations and rehabilitations, making it the perfect partner for this project.
Lastly, Cecconi Simone Inc. will design the interiors of each new residence. The firm is award winning, with experience in all types of development including residential, commercial, retail, and more.
