About Main

The personality of East Vancouver collides with the upmarket vibe of the Westside at Main Street, Vancouver’s trendiest neighbourhood. Young, urban professionals have been flocking here, attracted by the old character homes, affordable home prices and stylish “hipster” shops and restaurants. Main has been flourishing the last five years, catering to demand with lots of new condominium developments, an active housing market and lots of young businesses that gratify demand for all things new, hip, and local. Shiny new coffee shops nudge up against old school barbershops and antique stores to marry the old and new with a subtlety that only enhances this neighbourhood in transition.
