Housing

Many of the houses are large, with space and bedrooms for large families and beautiful backyards for entertaining. While many offerings are new or renovated, some preserve the charm of Old Vancouver, influenced by the “South Hill development” of early Vancouver around the turn of the century. Expansion was fueled, at that time, by a streetcar that ran along the nearby West 41st Ave, encouraging early growth. Condominiums and row houses are also available in the neighbourhood, with a few newer developments cropping up closer to Granville Street.
