About Quilchena
Quilchena is a small, affluent neighbourhood on Vancouver’s west side. The area is primarily residential, with a small commercial centre at Arbutus Mall. The neighbourhood is diverse in its housing offerings, with large sprawling estates on Shaughnessy’s borders, and mixed housing options nearer to Arbutus Street. This neighbourhood is a great place for families, with access to some of the city’s best schools and community centres.

Location and Transportation
Quilchena is within a close driving distance to Kerrisdale and Fairview, two neighbourhoods with more active commercial districts. Public transit is available along Arbutus Street. West 33rd Street is a main arterial route, which easily connects drivers to other driving routes in the city. Downtown Vancouver and Kitsilano are also nearby. Its northern border is King Edward Avenue. The western edge is Puget Drive, the southern W. 37th Avenue, and its eastern border is Marguerite Street.

Arbutus Shopping Centre
Located just outside the neighbourhood’s official borders, Arbutus Shopping Centre is a small, but convenient mall with access to groceries, a government liquor store, fast food options, a hair salon, and a few small stores. The city has plans to begin redeveloping and potentially expanding it for mixed-use development soon. (2015)
Prince of Wales Park
Prince of Wales Park is a large green space surrounded by quiet streets. It’s home to large soccer field and sloping hills.
Quilchena Park
Quilchena Park is another large park located in the neighbourhood. There’s a disc golf course, a walking path, Hellenic garden, play structures, off-leash dog area, baseball diamonds, skateboard park, and soccer fields.
