About Yaletown

Yaletown is one of Vancouver’s most sophisticated and cosmopolitan neighbourhoods. Its high-rise buildings line the edge of Vancouver’s False Creek, facing the West side of the city. The neighbourhood was redeveloped after the expo in 1986 so a majority of the condominiums are newer. The neighbourhood itself boasts a seaside walk and bikeway, its own skytrain station on the new Canada Line, a small marina where many a fancy yacht are parked, as well as a range of public amenities including a community centre, parks, playgrounds and a brand new elementary school. The industrial birthright of this city neighbourhood has mostly been scrubbed out, save for a few converted heritage buildings and the cobblestone streets, Mainland Street and Hamilton Street, which boast arguably the liveliest nightlife in Vancouver.

Some buildings even offer kayak rentals out on False Creek and bowling lanes for entertaining guests.
