Public transportation routes are available and connect with the Canada Line, run along Kingsway, and many begin at the transit hub at Metrotown. A popular riverside bikeway runs along Kent Ave and through the River District, connecting cyclists to Richmond, The Canada Line Skytrain and the popular Ontario Street bikeway that leads to downtown Vancouver.
The newly developed river district has several new amenities planned for the neighbourhood, which will serve its residents including new schools, daycare, community spaces, commercial amenities like grocery stores and banks, as well as a revitalized waterfront area.
Metrotown is a shopping centre nearby in Burnaby, which is the largest shopping mall in British Columbia. It has 450 stores, a cinema, two grocery stores, and amenities for all.

Champlain Heights Community Centre is a large Community Centre at 54th and Kerr Street which has a youth centre, childcare, indoor cycling, a dance studio, squash and racquetball courts, Free Wi-Fi, a tennis court, playground, fitness centre and sauna.
